As I have noted before the Metro newspapers in Boston, New York and Philadelphia have a long track record of Euro-centric thinking, anti-Israel bias and ignoring the of anniversaries of important dates in U.S. history.
On Monday, June 6 Metro failed to mention it was the anniversary of D-Day.
A letter writer caught them and the editors (to their credit) published the letter:
"I would like to thank Metro for the well-written article that appeared in your paper today regarding the anniversary of D-Day... oh, wait, there wasn't an article. But I did learn all about Prince Williams' hat selection though. No wonder Sarah Palin keeps making historical errors: She's obviously reading the Metro!" GORDON HALLETT
