What Does "the Reunification of Gaza and the West Bank" Really Mean?
By Cheryl Lewin, Chair AFSI Chicago
As a concerned US citizen and in my capacity as the Chicago co-chair of AFSI/Americans for a Safe Israel (http://www.afsi.org/)
Please read this statement from Robert Serry, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace (he is from the Netherlands). He is applauding and in favor of what will be the destruction the State of Israel - the entire State of Israel (and there is no differentiating between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem).
Supporting Hamas and Fatah and an alliance between the two is dangerous to all of us.
Below I have included a link where you can contact your congressional representatives and senators.
Our tax dollars must stop supporting the UN and their funding of terrorist regimes.
Our tax dollars must stop funding people who claim to represent "the downtrodden and the oppressed". These "oppressed" are only oppressed by their own "leaders" and they are intent on murder of not only Jews but also all other non-Muslims and the destruction of what has been known as "Western Civilization."
The United States must veto any UN proposals which will lead to the destruction of Israel - the only true democracy in the Middle East.

Statement by Robert Serry, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace
Process, on Palestinian Unity Talks
Jerusalem, 28 April 2011

The United Nations strongly supports all efforts for progress towards reunification of Gaza and the West Bank within the framework of the commitments of the Palestine Liberation Organization, on which progress is overdue. Reunification is essential for achieving a two-state solution that should be reached through negotiations. In this regard, Special Coordinator Serry notes with much interest the agreement recently announced between representatives of the two main Palestinian factions and the important contribution of Egypt in this regard. He hopes that reconciliation will now take place in a manner that promotes the cause of peace and will continue to follow developments closely.

The US - our tax dollars - must stop funding the terror-supporting UN.
The US - our tax dollars - must stop funding the Palestinian Authority (PA).
In plain English, why keep giving support to someone who has said they want to kill us? We have rights to live and not be threatened. And we certainly would expect our government to protect our civil liberties, which are certainly endangered with ongoing financial support of the UN and PA.
This united front of Hamas and Fatah, comprised of terrorists, only adds to the overall unrest and instability in the Middle East and represents first [solid] step in the unilateral declaration of a "Palestine" state.
Any government in which Hamas - a terrorist organization which in its charter calls for the destruction of the State of Israel, meaning it calls for genocide - plays a role, must not receive one more dollar from the United States.
This "unity" announcement clearly signals that President Mahmoud Abbas has chosen Hamas and its terrorism over peace with Israel. (He never really wanted peace... it was all a charade.)
Israel is under attack from an enemy that will stop at nothing until the State of Israel is destroyed. The same enemy that also wants nothing more than to see the United States defeated and diminished. The same enemy who danced in the streets and handed out candies on 9/11 in Gaza.
They have their candies ready again.
