Israel's Right in the 'Disputed' Territories

MUST READ OF THE DAY

Danny Ayalon, Israel's deputy Foreign Minister, explains in an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal why the European Union's new head of foreign relations is wrong about Jerusalem and "about Israel's rights to what are generally called the "occupied territories" but what really are "disputed territories."

Professors and Other Nice People for Peace and Justice

MUST READ OF THE DAY

If you have not heard of Steven Plaut, please allow me to introduce you.

The Sacramento Union said of Plaut:

“Think of him as an Israeli version of Rush Limbaugh; Plaut is a master at using outrageous humor to make his point.”

Dr. Steven Plaut is an Associate Professor on the faculty of the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Haifa in Israel. Plaut was born in Philadelphia and has an undergrad degree from Temple University. His essays are often published in The Jewish Press, Front Page Magazine and other periodicals.

Here is a link his latest essay about Professors and Other Nice People for Peace and Justice:

On Christmas Day, an Islamist fanatic tried to kill Americans

MUST READ OF THE DAY

Americans are "lying to ourselves" and we are refusing to label Islamic Terrorism what it is. "How did we help Umar Abdulmutallab, a wealthy Muslim university graduate who decided that Allah wanted him to slaughter Christians on their most joyous holiday?"

Ralph Peters in the New York Post explains our problem:

On Christmas Day, a Muslim fanatic attempted to butcher hundreds of Christians (dead Jews would've been a bonus). Our response? Have airport security analyze the contents of grandma's mini-bottle of shampoo -- we don't want to "discriminate."

Obama & Clinton are wrong about Israeli settlements

MUST READ OF THE DAY

Eric Rozenman from the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) writes the following The Los Angeles Times:

President Obama asserts, seconded by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, that "America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements" in the West Bank. Both have praised the 10-month freeze on new residential building -- excluding eastern Jerusalem -- that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced late last month. (...) Too bad international diplomacy doesn't have a replay button. If it did, the parties could look back at history, which would show that Israeli settlements not only are legitimate under international law but positively encouraged."

Philly Public TV Station Accused of Defending Suspected Terrorist

MUST READ OF THE DAY

The Democracy Now! is an anti-American propaganda TV broadcast based out of NY and produced by the far-left Pacifica Radio organization. It is aired in the
Philadelphia market on a non-PBS public TV station known as MiND (channel 35 / WYBE) and throughout the US through Verizon TV on the Bridges TV network.

Claude Cartaginese has an excellent article about how Democracy Now! misreported the story of a suspected Islamic terrorist accused of assisting al-Qaeda.

Regular readers of this blog may recall the name Bridges TV. Bridges TV made world headlines earlier in 2009 when its founder Muzzammil Hassan beheaded his estranged wife.

Obama aims to impose a solution on Israel

MUST READ OF THE DAY

In a truly perceptive and important essay Ted Belman outlines why the Obama Administration has abandoned the so-called "Roadmap" for an "imposed solution" that will force Israel to negotiate a Palestinian State with no pre-conditions, and worse.

Belman explains that the Obama Administration’s direction is a reversal of the Bush Administration’s concepts of negotiation and highly dangerous.

The Threat of Shariah

MUST READ OF THE DAY

New essay by activist attorney David Yerushalmi on "The Threat of Shariah-Compliant Finance" here is a taste:

"The financial jihadists built their strategy upon both sovereign wealth and the cravenness and fecklessness of the Western facilitators who would sell their own well-being and physical security for a place among the Fortune 500. "
